Lewis
Cohen, CPA, graduated from the University
of Bridgeport in 1964 with a bachelor's
degree in accounting. He received his
CPA certificate in 1973 and joined Capossela,
Cohen, LLC in 1974. Prior to 1974, Lewis
was with the Internal Revenue Service
where he spent seven years as a field
auditor of income tax returns in the
Bridgeport/Fairfield area office.
Lewis has been the senior partner of
our tax department since 1983. He specializes
in income tax planning for high net
worth individuals, representation in
federal and state taxation audit matters
and investment and general business
consulting.
Lewis is a member of the Connecticut
Society of Certified Public Accountants
and has served as chairman of that organization's
Continuation and Disposition of a Practice
Committee. He is also a member of the
American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants and the American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants' Tax
Division.
